From “So Sick” to “Smack That”: NE-YO and AKON Announce 2026 Tour

GRAMMY Award winners NE-YO and AKON have announced a major co-headlining world tour for 2026, joining forces for the “Nights Like This” global run. The 57-date tour will celebrate the era-defining hits that made both artists staples of radio, clubs, and pop culture throughout the 2000s and beyond.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on April 24 at Dublin’s 3Arena before moving through the UK and Europe with stops in cities including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Stockholm. The North American leg begins in June, taking in major markets across Canada and the United States before wrapping up on August 21 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The shows are set to feature a shared, back-and-forth set format, with NE-YO and AKON trading songs throughout the night. Fans can expect a hit-heavy experience spanning NE-YO’s “So Sick,” “Closer,” and “Miss Independent,” alongside AKON classics such as “Smack That,” “Lonely,” and “Right Now (Na Na Na).” Organisers describe the tour as both a nostalgia-driven celebration for longtime fans and an entry point for a new generation discovering their catalogues.
Tickets for the tour go on general sale Friday, January 30 at 10am local time via LiveNation.com, with presales available earlier in select markets. VIP packages will also be offered across North America and Europe, including premium seating and meet-and-greet experiences with AKON.
The tour arrives at a milestone moment for NE-YO, whose debut album In My Own Words celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. The singer-songwriter has spent nearly two decades shaping modern R&B and pop, both as a solo artist and as a behind-the-scenes hitmaker for artists including Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Usher. AKON, meanwhile, remains one of the most commercially successful crossover artists of his era, with a career that spans chart-topping solo releases, landmark collaborations, and the launch of influential record labels.
With both artists bringing decades of hits to the stage, the “Nights Like This” tour is positioned as a large-scale celebration of two careers that helped define the sound of a generation.
