Celine Dion’s Return to Paris Comes Full Circle With First-Ever Vinyl Release of Live à Paris
Celine Dion is returning to Paris, and she is bringing a piece of her past with her.
Thirty years after recording Live à Paris at Le Zénith in front of 6,000 fans, Dion will release the celebrated live album on vinyl for the first time on September 4, just eight days before she begins her highly anticipated 2026 Paris concerts.
The timing gives the anniversary release a particular resonance. Live à Paris captures Dion at a pivotal point in her career, when her French-language album D’eux was establishing her as a global superstar. Now, three decades later, the new 2LP edition arrives as she prepares to return to the same city for a new chapter in her career.
Recorded in October 1995 and originally released on CD and VHS in 1996, Live à Paris brings together performances from across Dion’s English and French repertoire, including “The Power Of Love,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” “J’irai où tu iras,” “Les derniers seront les premiers” and “Quand on n'a que l'amour.” The vinyl edition features a new sequence drawing from both the original CD and video releases, creating an expanded version of the concert for a new format.
It also includes a studio recording of “À Paris,” Francis Lemarque’s iconic ode to the French capital, giving the anniversary edition an especially fitting connection to the city where the album was recorded.
Dion’s relationship with Paris has taken on renewed significance in recent years. In 2024, she made her triumphant return to live performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, performing “Hymne à l'amour” from the Eiffel Tower. Now, her upcoming Paris engagement marks another major return, with concerts beginning September 12 at Plenitude Arena.
The vinyl release therefore lands as more than a catalogue reissue. It effectively connects three decades of Dion’s career, from the mid-1990s performances captured on Live à Paris, through her extraordinary international success, to her return to the Paris stage in 2026.
The anniversary release is part of a wider vinyl rollout, with 14 additional Dion albums arriving in a new pearly white colour variant on September 4. The catalogue spans her English and French-language career, including Unison, The Colour of My Love, Falling Into You, Let's Talk About Love, D’eux, S'il suffisait d'aimer, Courage and Encore un soir.
But it is Live à Paris that gives the campaign its most compelling sense of occasion: a document of Dion at one of the defining moments of her career, returning to the format for the first time just as its star returns to the city that inspired its name.
