Jazz Pianist Philip Adair Selected as UR2.Global’s 2026 Honorary Artist
UR2.Global Psycho-Spiritual Arts Project, a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to uplifting and unifying humanity through the arts, has named Atlanta-based pianist and composer Philip Adair as its 2026 Honorary Artist-in-Residence.
A versatile multi-genre musician, Adair began classical piano training at the age of six before transitioning into jazz during his teenage years, inspired by his father’s record collection. His career has since expanded into film, with appearances in Respect alongside Jennifer Hudson, The Color Purple, The Naked Gun: Law of Toughness, and Heart Strings featuring Dolly Parton.
In 2018, Adair joined the American Music Abroad tour, performing across Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, and Moldova with the Myrna Clayton Experience. He has also performed alongside renowned jazz artists such as Alex Bugnon.
Adair’s musical foundation includes advanced studies at Chamblee Charter High School, followed by collegiate training at the University of Memphis. He later transferred to Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in music performance in 2012 on a full scholarship. He has since returned to his hometown of Atlanta and built a strong reputation as a sought-after performer throughout the Southeast.
As an independent jazz composer, Adair—performing under the name “Chill Phil Music”—has accumulated more than 25,000 plays on the N1M platform. His work focuses on creating smooth jazz compositions that encourage relaxation and a sense of ease.
According to Amelia Kemp, president of UR2.Global, Adair’s journey reflects the organization’s core message. “UR2” stands for “you are too,” emphasizing that every individual is equally important and capable of contributing light and positivity to the world. Kemp, a licensed psychotherapist and singer-songwriter, founded the project to promote self-esteem and global unity through creative expression.
“Self-esteem shapes how individuals view their value and self-worth,” Kemp said. “When people find inner peace, they are better able to honor others—and that is how we move closer to world peace.”
Each year, UR2.Global hosts a global “Call for Artists,” inviting participants to join its Inner-Peace Equals World Peace Artist Music Video Retreat. Selected artists contribute verses to an original song written by Kemp and collaborate with the Honorary Artist-in-Residence. Participants receive recognition for their contributions to this international humanitarian arts initiative.
