Country music’s tattooed wild card Bailey Zimmerman isn’t here to play it safe. The Illinois-born hitmaker has dropped his second album, Different Night Same Rodeo, via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville — and it’s a rafter-rattling, heart-bruising, 18-track ride through love, loss, and the dusty chaos of everyday life.

Teaming up again with producer Austin Shawn, Zimmerman has turned his grit-and-gravel vocals into a weapon, swinging from arena-ready choruses (Holy Smokes, Holding On) to genre-bending curveballs like Ashes with Diplo. The record’s stacked with heavyweight cameos — Luke Combs on Backup Plan, and The Kid LAROI joining Zimmerman in the neon-baked Vegas desert for the video to Lost.

The album title comes from something Zimmerman’s dad used to say: “Same shit, different day.” Here, it’s spun into a hard-living mantra, following up his blockbuster debut Religiously. The Album., which smashed streaming records and crowned him country’s fastest-rising star.

Right now, Zimmerman’s mid-way through his sold-out New To Country tour, bringing his stadium-sized swagger to amphitheatres across the US with support from Dylan Marlowe and Drew Baldridge. If the new album’s anything to go by, expect a show that’s equal parts mosh pit and campfire.

Whether he’s crooning about heartbreak in a pickup truck or blurring the lines between Nashville twang and rock rebellion, Zimmerman’s proving he’s not just surviving the rodeo — he’s running it.
