GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Miley Cyrus is stepping into the cinematic universe of Avatar. The pop star has recorded a new original song titled “Dream as One” for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in the Oscar®-winning filmmaker’s record-breaking sci-fi saga.

The track, written by Cyrus with longtime collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson, along with composer Simon Franglen, will play during the end credits of the film and feature on the official soundtrack.

“Dream as One” will be released as a single by Columbia/Sony Records on November 14, followed by the full Avatar: Fire and Ash original soundtrack on December 12. Franglen — who previously worked with Cameron on Avatar: The Way of Water and composed the new film’s score — brings his orchestral expertise and cinematic touch to the project. The composer is best known for his GRAMMY®-winning work on “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic, another Cameron epic.

With Avatar: Fire and Ash, Cameron once again returns audiences to the breathtaking world of Pandora. The film continues the story of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) as they lead their family through new trials that test their unity and survival. The ensemble cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet, and others.

The screenplay is by James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver, from a story by Cameron, Jaffa, Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno.

Avatar: Fire and Ash opens in theaters worldwide on December 19, 2025, exclusively in IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and other premium formats.

With the addition of “Dream as One”, the film’s soundtrack continues the Avatar tradition of pairing its sweeping visuals with powerful, emotionally resonant music — this time led by one of pop’s most dynamic voices.

Whether the song becomes an airplay staple or remains a specially crafted cinematic moment, Miley Cyrus’s involvement cements the film’s strategy of pairing blockbuster spectacle with contemporary pop voices. For Cyrus, the project represents another expansion of her artistic identity.
