J KEYS is continuing his rise in the UK dance scene with the release of his latest single ‘Mad About You’ and a series of fresh remixes that are already gaining international support, from Ibiza sunsets to deep house DJ sets. With a growing reputation as both a producer and DJ, he’s taken full creative control by releasing music through his own label, Money Music Group, a move that reflects his focus on artistic freedom and independence.

Inspired early on by Eminem and later shaped by artists like Fisher, J KEYS blends emotional storytelling with high-energy electronic production, capturing the essence of summer, late-night connections, and dancefloor euphoria. Alongside his music career, he continues to expand into acting and explore collaborations with emerging talent, all while building momentum through viral moments, major radio support, and standout live performances, including his Ibiza Rocks debut.

1. You’ve just dropped some remixes of your current single ‘Mad About You’ - how have they gone down?

They have gone down amazingly! It’s given a completely new vibe to the track. The sunset mix is getting a lot of love in Ibiza. The VIP mix is more deep house and had some great support from the DJs. We just flew to the South of France (Cannes) to shoot some content for  remixes I’m really looking forward to you guys seeing that.

2. You’re releasing your songs on your own label - what challenges have you faced doing it independently and what have you learnt?

In my experience iv realised that being signed to a label is not always what it’s hyped up to be. In previous deals iv felt my hands tied and not had the freedom to do things the way I would like to. So for me personally I always like to release on my own label, purely because it gives me the freedom and flexibility that I need to be creative.

3. Mad About You is the perfect summer anthem - how did the song come about?

I was sat on a beach watching the sunset one evening in Ibiza and the song and vibe just came to me.

4. If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?

Wow that’s a tough one. There is so many great artists out there. If I had to pick one, I would like to work with Calvin Harris that would be cool.

5. Who inspired you to follow the path into DJing - whose career would you like to emulate?

The person who first got me wanting to wright music was actually Eminem, I used to listen to his lyrics and think wow this is so cool I want to do this! And then later on in my career when I turned more towards producing and DJing I really took a liking to Fisher, his sound and style is cool.

6. What’s your relationship like with social media - do you love it or loathe it?

It took me a while to get my head around the hole social media thing, it’s like being just an artist isn’t enough anymore, you also have to be a social media influencer too. I don’t hate it, I just find it very time consuming and addictive.

7. You’ve also done some acting - tell us a bit more about this and what do you prefer most - acting or DJing?

Yes I've stared in lots of TV shows and Movies and I absolutely love being on set. But when i'm on stage DJing in front of a huge crowd playing one of my own tracks and seeing people sing along to it.. that is a whole different buzz.

8. Are there any other upcoming artists that you rate that we should check out?

There’s a female rapper that I recently collaborated with called SDL , she is very talented.
