Phenomena, the series of rock music concept albums conceived by producer Tom Galley and his brother, Whitesnake/Trapeze guitarist Mel Galley, and directed by Wilfried Rimensberger, is making a return with new versions of the three initial albums being released. Phenomena is credited with reviving the fortunes of the 'concept album' - rock records with a distinct storyline throughout, and accompanying multi-media and artwork -  in the late 80s/early 90s. The three records are now being re-issued as definitive editions with never before seen material.

New York blues songstress Sari Schorr has been announced for a show at London's prestigious 100 Club during Blues Week 2019 in the UK capital. She will play the venue on Friday 18th January, topping a co-headline bill that will see her joined by Sharrie Williams - the Princess Of Rockin' Gospel Blues.

Deadland Ritual, the brand new group featuring former members of Black Sabbath, Guns & Roses and Billy Idol's band have just dropped their first single, Down In Flames, and it's accompanying video. The band are led by legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, who's joined by Billy Idol axeman Steve Stevens, former Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, and singer Franky Perez (Apocalyptica, Scars on Broadway).

As part of their recently announced Winter schedule the Edinburgh Blues Club has pulled off quite a coup by managing to bring two of the USA's foremost modern blues acts to the city for their only Scottish appearances. Sugaray Rayford will headline at The Voodoo Rooms on January 15th, while Rick Estrin & The Nightcats will appear at Stramash on the 23rd January.

Finland-based progressive metallers Wheel have announced details of their upcoming debut album. 'Moving Backwards' will be released February 22nd, 2019 via Odyssey Music Network. It follows the group's two EPs, 2017's The Path and 2018's The Divide. The album will see the band expanding their unique collage of prog rock, grunge and film scores that have seen them compared to metal icons Tool.

Nashville, TN – Guitarist and singer Peter Mayer of the Peter Mayer Group and Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band will perform his 19th annual Stars and Promises Christmas tour.  

The trailblazing rulers of prog-rock, King Crimson, are to perform a series of live dates in 2019 in celebration of the band's 50th Anniversary. The group, which was reactivated by band leader Robert Fripp and returned to touring in 2014, will include both festivals and headline shows in the tour which will take place across three continents. So far there are three UK dates included.

Gabrielle Aplin has released her brand new single ‘My Mistake’, the first song to be taken from her forthcoming third album due for release next year. The new single premiered with Billboard who said, “‘Gabrielle Aplin lets her guard down on ‘My Mistake’… [it] is an emotional piano ballad that provides an open reflection on embracing your flaws.”

Legendary German axeman Uli Jon Roth is this year celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his first ever show which took place in December 1968 while he was aged just 13. As part of festivities he will play six special UK concerts beginning at Corporation, Sheffield on Thursday November 29th and continuing through to The Stables in Milton Keynes on Wednesday December 5th.

Dynamic new British rock band Collateral are to release their four track debut EP on Roulette Records this Friday, 23rd November. The EP, appropriately titled '4 Shots' will be launched with a show at Leo's in Gravesend this Saturday, November 24th. 4 Shots was recorded and mixed by Sean Kenny at Ten 21 Studios and mastered by Grammy nominee Robin Shmittz of 24-96 mastering in Germany.

After a successful initial tour in Australia and New Zealand in 2017, followed by their current US Tour, 'The Music Of Cream' will bring their show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the hallowed 60's trio to the UK.
