On this day in 1968, Stephen Stills, David Crosby and Graham Nash teamed up to form the folk-rock supergroup that also occasionally features singer-songwriter Neil Young. The trio’s first album “Crosby, Stills & Nash” was released in 1969 and was a significant success in the United States, spending an incredible 107 weeks on the Billboard charts.

The King’s Parade have today released their brand new single ‘The Look’. The song premiered with Clash who said, “A soulful blend of indie textures, ‘The Look’ is about the more destructive elements in their psyche, and how they can move past them.”

Incredibly, it is 61 years ago today since Elvis Presley recorded “Jailhouse Rock”, written by Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller. The track was featured in the movie of the same name, but Elvis actually mimed the lyrics. At the time, the film received mixed reviews and was considered scandalous for presenting a criminal as a hero and showing him in bed with his co-star.

With the football World Cup fast approaching, there is no word on the official anthem, but plenty of contenders are already making their claim.
