Like Pad's other records, it has been proudly published as an independent release by the 4000 Records underground label. Kaleidoscopic, pounding with bass, and full of tricks and surprises, “Dubstep: Second Strike” is perhaps the most innovative material to come from DJ Pad yet.

‘Keeper of the Groove’ is the second post rock album to be released under the prog rock instrumental project The Soft Shades. The musical project was put together by Dimitry Gubsky in 2011. 

When it comes to soul Barth Beasley has abundance. It’s there in his voice. He sings life his life depends on making his way from verse to chorus then back all over again. It’s there in his playing. Beasley pounds the keys of his electric piano like it owes him money. It’s there in his songwriting. With lyrical lines like “It might have been a gun or a knife/But he knows who saved his life/Lives another day won’t let it die/Runs up the score for more time” you know this brother has seen some messy sh*t go down in his day.

One of Donald Wiles’ tracks currently doing the rounds is, “Livin The Life”, where Donald handles the Grand Piano and Hammond B3 Organ. As far as grooving, piano and B3 jazz goes, you really can’t do better than this. Donald has a heavy, booting swing and the chunky basslines propel the music along. Donald’s organ playing is beautiful here — very subtle and tasteful. And as far as I’m concerned, his grand piano work is lifted to deity status by his playing on this smooth jazz session.

Everything from the drums to the guitars is outstanding. You will find yourself amazed by his intelligent talent and rhythm. The creativity of each piece is stunning, soulful, fluid, and perfectly produced. One thing for sure is when you listen to him, you will enjoy the his complex harmonies and grooves that seem unstoppable.
