The remix package for Mayra Veronica’s chart-topping single “MAMA YO!”-- a fresh remake on the classic Carmen Miranda song "Mamãe Eu Quero" -- has finally come to fruition! With Yolanda Be Cool, Jasper Dietze, Bali Bandits, BOOTSMEN and the original’s collaborators The Sweet Life Society taking the helm, the “MAMA YO!” bundle has a little something for everyone. Out now exclusively on Beatport through Central Station Records, the original extended mix and remixes will be available on all other retailers November 17.

The singer and songwriter known as Maj has released his latest single, “Reach Out.” The track has been proudly published on the Browns Town LLC independent record label. “Reach Out” by Maj has been released on a corresponding EP album comprising no fewer than six remixes of the official single, plus the original track, itself, for a grand total of nearly half an hour of top-notch dance music. The R 'n' B singer and songwriter known as Outtatown EQ has released his latest official single, “Shawty Got a Thing for a G.” The track has been released on the popular OTMG independent music label, entirely without support from the corporate music industry. Classy, crooning, smooth as glass and suave as a satin jacket, “Shawty Got a Thing for a G” is a clear sign that rhythm and blues is still a vibrant scene on the west coast of America.

 

The metal band known as Concrete Sledge has released their new EP album, “Humble Origins.” The EP is composed of five original tracks for an approximate total listening time of half an hour, making for a comprehensive treatment of the band's material. It has been proudly published independent of financial or managerial support from the corporate music industry. Contemporary, innovative and fresh, yet with a quasi-traditional metal tone and style, “Humble Origins” is a clear sign that the old, explosive sound is alive and thrashing, thanks to new groups such as Concrete Sledge.

Bryan Hayes recently re-recorded his debut album as the newly titled Still Just A Man…10 Years Later. “Ten years is a big milestone for me, an independent songwriter and traveling musician,” Hayes explains. “We felt like going back in and revisiting some of those songs was a way to say thanks to the folks who have been with us this entire time."
