Beverly Hills, CA – August 14, 2014…The Heroes and Legends Foundation, founded by Motown alumni Janie Bradford, is extremely proud to celebrate its 25^th Anniversary with a stellar weekend of events. Appropriately themed “Forever Legends,” the 25^th Annual Heroes and Legends Awards will be held on Sunday, September 28^th, 2014 at the Historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Being their debut single, “This Is Life” takes an unorthodox approach to music production, and I have to say it is rather incredible. Their ability to do so not only sets them apart, but also grants them a unique skillset to get crowds going more than anyone if you haven’t seen their live shows.

On the heels of the successful return of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show in May, Chairman JT Thompson announces that the Hip Hop Hall of Fame has teamed up with Harlem Week to produce the first annual Harlem Hip Hop Festival. The Festival will include three events featuring the McDonald’s B-Boy Royale Dance Competition at NYU on  August 16th, the Harlem Hip Hop Fest main event at 135th & St Nicholas on Saturday August 23rd, and the annual Graffiti Hall of Fame taking place at 106th & Park on August 30th.

Once again, the Beverly Hills Car Club is selling a piece of rock n’ roll history. Joe Strummer, co-founder, lyricist, rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of the seminal punk/rock band The Clash, passed away on 22 December 2002. Now a priceless piece of Joe’s history, and that of musical culture as a whole, is up for sale: Joe Strummer’s 1963 Chalfont Blue Ford Thunderbird, an original California double black-plate Bullet body style T-bird. Originally purchased by Strummer in 1987 for $4,200, the vehicle has remained in pristine condition, having spent several years in a climate controlled garage.
