X Factor heartthrobs One Direction have announced that they will be releasing their debut single in June.

Speaking on the Alan Titchmarsh show on Monday the boys, who were finalists in the X Factor, confirmed that they were hoping to release their first single during the summer this year.

Il Divo, the international opera group will be given the first ever Artist of the Decade award at the upcoming Classic BRIT Awards to be held in London on May 12.

The four singers from Spain, Switzerland, the United States and France will be performing a new song at the show to celebrate the award which will be given to the group at the ceremony to be held at the Royal Albert Hall.

The highly anticipated new album from British band Coldpay is said to be in its final stages according to the Coldplay “Roadie” blog.

The blog, written by an author simply known as Roadie#42 said that Chris Martin and the rest of the band were in the final stages of recording their new album with string arrangements and backing vocals now being added as some of the last touches.

Girls Aloud singer and UK X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has spoken out about having cravings for her favourite UK treats while she is working in the US.

The Geordie star, who is reported not to be taking part in the American version of the X Factor due to TV bosses believing that her accent is too strong for US viewers to be able to understand, told Glamour magazine that the US treats simply don't hit the spot.

Dave Grohl used the Key to the City of his birth town as bottle opener.

The Foo Fighters star was given the key to Warren, Ohio, in 2009 - where he also celebrated the opening of a road named in his honour - but said one of his favourite uses for it was to open a beer.
