It has been a contest of controversy and gossip but finally at the end of it all we have a winner. Matt Cardle went head to head with Rebecca Fergurson and came out triumphant. The final which ran for three shows, saw the Essex based singer come out on top.

The bookies favourite and the public’s, performed a duet with Rhianna, as well as performing other songs for the public vote. This season of the X – Factor has been dogged by in fighting among contestants and judges, as well as allegations of fixing. At one point, judge Simon Cowell had to make a statement in a national newspaper as to why last minute format changes had occurred, such was the outrage at some of the events.

Matt Cardle however, has been the favourite more or less from day one, and always turned out consistent performances. The singer gained plaudits from the judges for his vocal range.

There was never a danger of Matt Cardle “falling out” with the public, even when the singer made a few outbursts against fellow contestants. He became a darling with the X – Factor audience from day one.

Former 2008 X – Factor star Ruth Lorenzo has sold out her first gig in three hours. The former contestant is scheduled to play her first gig with her full band, the Raspberry Pattern, at London 229 Venue on the 4th February, where she and her band will perform tracks from their debut album.

Hot on the new wave of fresh allegations against the talent show, X- Factor, Mary Byrne added some weight to the argument. She was quoted saying, “It’s obvious Simon didn’t want me there”, and she also went on to say that none of the contestants new that there was going to be a sing off before Saturday.

Allegations are rife that the TV talent show the X – Factor is fixed. They come after Saturday’s life semi – final in which the judges for the first time in the show’s history, had the deciding vote. According to the Sun Newspaper, they were flooded with angry fans claiming the show is a fix.

X-Factor constant Cher Lloyd has a therapist 24/7 if reports are to be believed. Cheryl Cole’s American X-Factor triumph maybe short lived if Rebecca Fergurson ditches her at this stage of the competition. Sources close to the singer say that she is upset with Cheryl Lloyd due to the mentor lavishing all her attention on Cher Lloyd.

The new show which is set to launch next year, seemed it was just a dream for the Geordie singer. Now it appears, the tables have turned and she has landed the role.
