Indie veterans The Pigeon Detectives, who are known for their hit song 'I'm Not Sorry,' have just released their first single in seven years.

The nominees for the upcoming Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards have been announced, with singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson leading the pack with four nominations, including Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year.

Madi Simmons, a veteran performer with a musical career spanning several decades, has released a new song titled "OH YES, DON'T IT FEEL GOOD." The upbeat reggae track is sure to get listeners dancing with its infectious rhythm.

Uniting the sun-kissed folk-rock of the ‘70s West Coast scene with the grittier edge of modern Americana, Belle Roscoe are poised to make a big impression in 2023, starting with today’s release of their new single ‘The Birds’. Arctic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses have been confirmed as the final headliners for the 2023 Glastonbury festival. The world-famous music extravaganza, held in Somerset, South West England, will see Alex Turner and co take to the Pyramid Stage for the third time on Friday, June 23, while the 'Sweet Child O' Mine' rockers will make their Worthy Farm debut on Saturday, June 24. The Sunday night headliner is the legendary Sir Elton John, with Lil Nas X set to perform before him, and Cat Stevens, who goes by the name Yusuf, playing the Sunday teatime legends slot. Lana Del Rey is also set to headline the Other Stage, with Eurovision winners Maneskin making their Glastonbury debut.

Meghan Trainor is back with a new song and she's inviting fans to join the celebration. The American singer-songwriter has dropped the first preview of her forthcoming single, "Mother," exclusively on YouTube Shorts with the hashtag #IAmYourMother. The track is set to be released by Epic Records in March 2023 as a single from the deluxe edition of her fifth major-label studio album, Takin' It Back.

New York native Emily King is set to release her latest studio album Special Occasion on May 5 via ATO Records. The new body of work is King’s first album in 4 years, following her multi-Grammy-nominated Scenery. Across eleven dynamic tracks, including “This Year,” “False Start,” and “Bad Memory” (featuring special guest Lukas Nelson),  King shares a real-time exploration of the endless dimensions of heartbreak. Using music as a means of meditation, King works through the most overwhelming emotions with ineffable grace and resilience. Today King releases the project’s second single “Medal,” a joyfully upbeat song punctuated by driving-low end bass, rhythmic hand claps, and a soaring chorus. 

Australian-born country artist Morgan Evans has released a five-part documentary series to accompany his latest single "Over For You." The docuseries, directed by Peter John, showcases Evans' 2022 musical journey in Australia and New Zealand, including his performance at the CMC Rocks QLD Festival, where he debuted the single for a crowd of 25,000 people. Evans describes the song as the most personal thing he has ever written and shared, adding that it was written after going through a divorce just weeks before shooting the series.

Country music icon Shania Twain has expressed interest in turning her music into a stage show and has revealed that ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus would be her go-to person for help. In a recent interview with Bjorn on 'Bjorn from ABBA and Friends' on Apple Music Hits, Shania spoke about the inspiration she gained from ABBA's music and their intricate arrangements.

Metallica is set to release their new single, "If Darkness Had A Son," today, March 1, 2023, from their upcoming album "72 Seasons." Fans were invited to duet with the band on the new track via TikTok. The album is set to be released on April 14, following the release of the tracks "Lux Æterna" and "Screaming Suicide." The band's recent "Helping Hands" benefit raised $3 million for their All Within My Hands non-profit, which will benefit several organizations, including Baby2Baby, First Star, Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, mikeroweWorks Foundation Foundation, and The Skatepark Project.

Virginia-based band 49 Winchester has announced their first-ever European live dates, supporting Luke Combs on his 2023 World Tour. The 14-date trek will kick off on September 30 in Oslo, Norway, and end with a 2-night stand at London's O2 Arena. The band's critically acclaimed New West Records debut album, Fortune Favors the Bold, has generated over 40 million global streams and over 17 million streams for the single 'Russell County Line'. Rolling Stone has dubbed them "Country Music's Buzziest of Buzz Bands," while the album was included in the "25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2022" by Rolling Stone.

British rock band Bring Me The Horizon is making the most of their time on the road during their latest tour by recording new music on their tour bus. The band had a studio installed on their bus during their US tour at the end of 2022 and has been hard at work creating new material for their upcoming album.

Canadian country singer Tenille Townes has teamed up with superstar Bryan Adams for a powerful new single called "The Thing That Wrecks You," set to be released on February 24th. The world exclusive debut of the song took place on BBC Radio 2's The Country Show With Bob Harris. The track was originally released by Lady A in 2019.

Country music stars Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini have been announced as co-hosts of the upcoming 2023 CMT Music Awards. Brown will be returning as co-host for the fourth consecutive year, while Ballerini will be co-hosting for the third year in a row. The event will take place on Sunday, April 2, and will be broadcast live on CBS, as well as streamed on Paramount+.

French artist Christine and the Queens has announced the American debut of his new creative era, with a live performance in San Francisco on April 13, alongside side shows in San Diego and LA during Coachella festival on April 18 and 19, respectively. Tickets will be available from Friday, February 24, at 12pm PST.
