Following their summer release “Knock Down, Drag Out”, London-based pop-rock band The Wild Things have returned with a searing new single “I Can’t Wait”. This track marks the second chapter in their New Orleans-set sonic love story, transitioning from passionate infatuation to a cathartic release of frustration and empowerment.

Opening with a defiant “Hey son of a bitch, first of all, go to hell,” frontwoman Sydney Rae White sets the tone for a song that confronts deceit and emotional manipulation head-on. The track's gritty lyrics are matched by its energetic rock instrumentation, delivering a powerful message of self-liberation.

“‘I Can’t Wait’ is part two of our love affair story,” White explains. “The gap between the singles is the real-time breakdown of our character’s relationship, ending in a vitriolic yet cathartic rock song. If ‘Knock Down, Drag Out’ is a nod to our past, ‘I Can’t Wait’ is a window into our future.”

The accompanying music video, directed by guitarist Rob Kendrick, embraces a lively technicolor aesthetic, symbolizing the exhilaration of breaking free from toxic relationships. Additionally, the band has launched The Black Heart interactive voicemail system, inviting fans to leave messages to their exes as part of their own cathartic journey.

Known for their dynamic performances and collaborations, The Wild Things have previously worked with legendary guitarist Pete Townshend of The Who. Townshend not only produced and played on their track “Only Attraction” but also contributed 12-string guitar and Hammond organ, further solidifying the band's reputation in the rock music scene.

With coverage from Rolling Stone, Variety, and BBC Radio 2, and performances at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and The Royal Albert Hall, The Wild Things continue to draw in audiences worldwide. Their new single “I Can’t Wait” is available now on all streaming platforms.
