Gibson is celebrating its collaboration with the new 20th Century Studios film Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, now showing in theaters, by unveiling a special collection of guitars inspired by the movie and Bruce Springsteen’s timeless sound.

The film, directed by Scott Cooper and starring Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen, tells the story behind the creation of the 1982 album Nebraska. Recorded on a four-track recorder using a late-1950s Gibson SJ-200 in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, Nebraska remains one of his most raw and influential works. Its haunting acoustic tones captured the struggles of a young artist facing fame, uncertainty, and the ghosts of his past.

For the production, Gibson’s team of acoustic luthiers worked closely with producer Dave Cobb to recreate the distinct sound and feel of Springsteen’s early recordings. The film’s original score was composed by Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers, whose connection to New Jersey and Springsteen’s music helped shape the emotional tone of the project. A variety of Gibson and Epiphone acoustic guitars, many handcrafted at the Gibson Acoustic Craftory in Bozeman, Montana, were featured throughout the film.

To mark the partnership, Gibson has launched the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere Collection—a curated line of Gibson and Epiphone acoustic guitars featured in and inspired by the film. The collection includes models such as the Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 Light Aged, the Gibson Custom Pre-War SJ-200 Rosewood, and the SJ-200 Standard. Each guitar captures the craftsmanship, tone, and vintage allure that made the SJ-200 known as the “King of the Flat-Tops.”

Highlights include the Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 Light Aged, which features hand-selected maple, a thermally aged top, and period-correct detailing for a full vintage feel. The Pre-War SJ-200 Rosewood brings back the rare rosewood-bodied design of the 1930s, with a thermally aged red spruce top, traditional scalloped X-bracing, and ornate inlays. The SJ-200 Standard continues the legacy with flame maple construction, gold Grover tuners, and a built-in L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system for stage and studio use.

Epiphone also joins the celebration with the Inspired by Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 Reissue. This reissue features solid wood construction, a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, figured maple back and sides, and a built-in L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup. It delivers the bold sound and striking look of the original at an accessible price point.

Select guitars created for and used in the film are now on display at the Gibson Garage in downtown Nashville, giving fans and players the chance to see these remarkable instruments up close.

In a recent interview with the Gibson Gazette, Jeremiah Fraites discussed his work on the film’s score and how he approached reimagining Springsteen’s sound for a new generation.

All guitars in the collection are available now at https://www.gibson.com, where fans can explore the full lineup and watch behind-the-scenes footage from the film, including the moment Bruce Springsteen personally gifted Jeremy Allen White a Gibson SJ-200.
