Labrinth is back with a powerful new track, “God Spoke,” released today ahead of his forthcoming album, COSMIC OPERA ACT 1, due January 30 via Columbia Records. The song, just over 1 minute long, serves more as an introduction to the album than a full-fledged single, but its dramatic sound hints at an ambitious body of work to come.

Fans have already reacted with awe. One commenter on YouTube called Labrinth a “music therapist,” while another wrote that listening to the track feels like “ascending to heaven.”

Musically, “God Spoke” is stripped back yet expansive, a moment of spiritual reckoning that grapples with faith, doubt, and the search for meaning. Labrinth’s unmistakable vocal intensity carries the track, which balances intimate emotion with cinematic scope. The song lays the groundwork for COSMIC OPERA ACT 1, a project described as a bold fusion of sweeping scale and personal storytelling.

Following the album’s release, Labrinth will perform at Coachella this spring and continue his acclaimed work in film and television, returning as composer for the upcoming third season of Euphoria.

“God Spoke” is out now, and COSMIC OPERA ACT 1 arrives January 30.
