AFTERDRIVE have announced the release of their new single Fashion, set to arrive on 25th February. The band confirmed the news earlier today on Instagram, sharing the message “Fashion – Out everywhere February 25th” alongside a short preview of the track.

The teaser offers an early glimpse of the song’s sound, highlighting a prominent guitar tone and hard-hitting drums. Speaking about the release, the band described Fashion as bold, high energy, and a track that sets the tone for the year ahead.

Fashion marks AFTERDRIVE’s return with a dark, hazy take on modern romance. The song explores late nights, chaotic encounters, and an intense infatuation with someone who is exciting, volatile, and difficult to resist. Beneath the rush of desire, the track examines how love can feel hollow in the social media age, where connections are often surface-level and disposable rather than rooted in genuine intimacy. Produced and mixed by Thomas Mitchener, the song captures the tension of being physically close to someone while emotionally distant, reflecting a generation torn between craving closeness and being drawn to image and illusion.

Musically, Fashion sees AFTERDRIVE continuing to refine a sound that blends uptempo guitar music with contemporary synths and electronic textures. Frontman Ben Watts delivers the lyrics with a cool, understated confidence, while the band push beyond traditional guitar band territory with a modern, polished edge.

To celebrate the release, AFTERDRIVE will play a headline London show at The Social on 9th March, with tickets on sale from 6pm. The band recently debuted Fashion live at a sold-out hometown headline show at The Waterfront Studio in Ipswich on 31st January, where fans stayed behind for signings and meet-and-greets following the performance.

The release comes ahead of a busy few months for the band. Later this week, AFTERDRIVE join The Entitled Sons as support on their UK tour. In April, they will support US artist Maggie Lindemann on her UK and EU tour, beginning in Dublin on 14th April. A special warm-up show in their hometown of Ipswich is also set to be announced soon.

Last year, AFTERDRIVE supported Ed Sheeran at his Portman Road stadium show and released the single Necklace in November. The track received strong backing from BBC Radio 1, with Alyx Holcombe praising the band on air and comparing their sound to a fusion of The Weeknd and The 1975. Jess Iszatt has also played the band multiple times on her BBC Radio 1 show. Locally, AFTERDRIVE were invited back for a second live session on BBC Introducing by host Angelle Joseph, who has been a consistent supporter. Beyond radio, the band have received coverage from Rolling Stone UK, Kerrang, The Independent, and other key tastemakers.

AFTERDRIVE are Ben Watts on vocals, Ed Ruff on bass, Joe Watts on drums, and Luke Ellis on guitar.
