Roger Sanchez Announces First Studio Album in 20 Years as House Icon Returns with ‘Spectrum’
House music pioneer and Grammy Award-winning DJ Roger Sanchez is making a long-awaited return to the album format with the announcement of his first studio album in two decades, Spectrum, set for release on June 5.
The legendary producer unveiled the news alongside the release of his brand new single Temptation, a high-energy collaboration with fellow house heavyweight Low Steppa featuring vocals from rising star Ragdoll.
More than six years in the making, Spectrum marks a major milestone in Sanchez’s celebrated career and features an impressive lineup of collaborators spanning house, electronic, pop and beyond. The album includes appearances from major dance names such as Fedde Le Grand and Low Steppa, powerhouse vocalists Karen Harding, Kelli-Leigh and Leo Wood, as well as crossover artists including Melanie C, Chico Castillo, Kele Le Roc and Donae’o.
Speaking about the project, Sanchez said: “I’m delighted to announce the release of my forthcoming album Spectrum! A body of work six years in the making and something I am truly proud to finally see out in the world very soon!”
Designed to blend timeless house influences with modern production, Temptation offers fans a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming record. Packed with euphoric vocals and polished big room house production, the track reunites Sanchez with Low Steppa after the British DJ previously remixed his song This Feeling.
Sanchez praised the collaboration, saying: “Teaming up on Temptation with my brother Low Steppa was a perfect merger of our New York to London roots. And working with Ragdoll for the first time was a joy… she absolutely kills it on the vocals! This is currently one of my favourite tracks in my box to set off the dance floor and one of my favourite collaborations.”
Temptation follows the recent success of Come My Way, the first 2026 preview of the album and the only solo Roger Sanchez track on Spectrum. The UK-inspired record has already earned airplay on BBC Radio 1 Dance, landed on the Kiss Dance playlist and attracted praise from outlets including Mixmag, DJ Mag, Notion and The Line of Best Fit.
Widely regarded as one of house music’s most influential figures, Sanchez has spent decades shaping the global dance scene. Rising from New York City’s underground club culture, he has built a career as a world-renowned DJ, producer and label boss, earning acclaim through his labels Undr The Radr and Stealth Recordings while working with artists including Ella Henderson, Jem Cooke and Hugel.
The album announcement comes during a busy period for Sanchez, who recently returned to the UK for performances at Haçienda Classical at Drumsheds in London and Bugged Out in Bristol. He has also confirmed a new summer residency at the iconic Pacha Ibiza, with further support acts expected to be announced soon.
With a landmark album on the way, major live shows lined up and new music already making waves, 2026 is shaping up to be a standout year for the house music veteran.
