Shakira has once again turned a major global event into a musical moment, with "Dai Dai" featuring Burna Boy becoming a worldwide hit while helping the superstar make Spotify history.

The official FIFA World Cup 2026 song has reached No. 1 globally on Spotify, making Shakira the first artist to reach the top spot on the platform in both English and Spanish. She currently ranks as the No. 6 most-streamed artist in the world, adding another milestone to a career built on international success.

"Dai Dai" has reached No. 1 in 12 countries worldwide, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the UAE, South Korea, Sweden and Belgium. The track has also entered the top five in major markets including Portugal, Canada, China, Italy and the UK midweek chart.

The song's success marks another landmark moment in Shakira's long connection with football's biggest tournament. She previously delivered one of the most recognisable World Cup songs ever with "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. More than a decade later, she has returned to the global stage with "Dai Dai", once again providing the soundtrack to one of the world's biggest sporting events.

The achievement highlights Shakira's rare ability to connect with audiences across languages and generations. From her Latin pop roots to her English-language crossover success and now her dominance in the streaming era, the Colombian superstar continues to find new ways to reach listeners around the world.

The global impact of "Dai Dai" has also extended to YouTube, where the official music video remains No. 1 worldwide and has surpassed 400 million views.

The success arrives during another major career peak for Shakira. Following record-breaking stadium tours across America and South America, she is preparing for 12 stadium shows at the Shakira Stadium in Madrid this September and October.

With "Dai Dai", Shakira has added another chapter to a career filled with historic moments, proving that her ability to create global anthems remains as strong as ever.
