Ella Langley has added another remarkable achievement to her breakout year, officially making Billboard history with her chart-topping hit "Choosin' Texas."

The country star's latest single has now spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, setting a new record for the longest-running non-holiday chart-topper by a solo female artist. The milestone sees Langley move ahead of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together," which each spent 14 weeks at the summit.

The achievement marks another major moment in what has been a record-breaking rise for the Alabama native, who has rapidly become one of country music's biggest new stars.

According to Billboard, "Choosin' Texas" first reached No. 1 earlier this year before briefly giving way to several high-profile releases. The song quickly reclaimed the top spot and has continued its dominant run throughout the summer, cementing its place among the longest-running No. 1 singles in the chart's history.

Langley's success extends well beyond a single song. She recently became the first female country artist to place three songs in the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10 at the same time, while also making history as the first female artist to simultaneously top the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts.

Her momentum has also carried over to albums, with her sophomore release Dandelion debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The record-breaking success is all the more remarkable considering how quickly Langley's career has accelerated. After honing her craft in Alabama before moving to Nashville to pursue songwriting full time, she broke through with a string of successful releases and collaborations before "Choosin' Texas" propelled her to mainstream superstardom.
