Zac Brown Band Makes Live Entertainment History by Giving Every Fan at Sold-Out Fenway Show a Cruise Vacation
Band Celebrates Record-Breaking 15th Consecutive Fenway Park Sellout by Surprising More Than 37,000 Fans With Cruise Vacations Valued at More Than $40 Million
Zac Brown Band made live entertainment history Sunday night by surprising every fan at its sold-out Fenway Park concert with a Margaritaville at Sea cruise vacation, creating what is believed to be the largest audience gifting event ever at a live concert.
More than 37,000 fans attended the band's record-breaking 15th consecutive sold-out performance at the iconic Boston ballpark. Before performing "Same Boat," frontman Zac Brown stunned the crowd by announcing that every ticket holder would receive a cruise for two aboard Margaritaville at Sea. Valued at more than $40 million, the unprecedented giveaway was personally funded by Brown as a thank you to the fans who have supported him throughout his career.
"Tonight we're going to do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy," Brown told the crowd. "I'm buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history, ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!"
The surprise capped another milestone for Zac Brown Band, which already holds Fenway Park's all-time records for the most consecutive sold-out performances and the most tickets sold by any artist in the venue's history.
"We were honored to work alongside Zac to help bring this incredible surprise to life for his fans," said Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea. "This was an extraordinary way to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his career, and we're proud to have helped make that vision a once-in-a-lifetime reality."
The giveaway builds on the band's ongoing partnership with Margaritaville at Sea during the Love & Fear U.S. Tour, presented by the cruise line. Throughout the 27-city tour, Zac Brown Band has been giving away four cruises at every show. Sunday's Fenway celebration elevated that tradition on an unprecedented scale.
Fans can redeem their complimentary cruises on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next year. The partnership will continue into 2027 with the debut of Beachcomber, the cruise line's newest flagship. The ship will feature Same Boat, a first-of-its-kind live music venue at sea co-designed by Zac Brown and inspired by his 2021 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett. The venue will serve as the ship's entertainment centerpiece, combining premium acoustics, craft cocktails, Southern hospitality, and the energy of a front-row concert experience.
The historic Fenway performance followed Zac Brown Band's acclaimed limited engagement at Sphere Las Vegas and the release of the band's eighth studio album, Love & Fear. The current Love & Fear U.S. Tour continues through November, bringing the band's signature live show to major markets nationwide.
The Aug. 2 Fenway Park concert was livestreamed on nugs and broadcast live on SiriusXM's Radio Margaritaville. The performance is now available to stream on demand exclusively on nugs.
