Metallica is taking its M72 World Tour into 2027, with the band announcing 12 new North American stadium dates and bringing Limp Bizkit and Avatar along for the ride.

The newly announced run will begin May 8, 2027 at BC Place in Vancouver and wrap up June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. The dates will take Metallica through 12 cities that have not previously hosted the M72 World Tour on this run, including stops across the American Southwest, Midwest and East.

The full itinerary is:

May 8: Vancouver, BC, BC Place
May 13: San Diego, CA, Snapdragon Stadium
May 18: El Paso, TX, Sun Bowl Stadium
May 22: San Antonio, TX, Alamodome
May 26: Fayetteville, AR, Razorback Stadium
May 29: Kansas City, MO, Arrowhead Stadium
June 2: Raleigh, NC, Carter-Finley Stadium
June 5: Indianapolis, IN, Lucas Oil Stadium
June 8: Buffalo, NY, Highmark Stadium
June 12: Madison, WI, Camp Randall Stadium
June 15: Cleveland, OH, Huntington Bank Field
June 19: Salt Lake City, UT, Rice-Eccles Stadium

Limp Bizkit and Avatar will provide support throughout the 2027 North American run, adding two very different names to the bill alongside Metallica.

The dates will follow Metallica's planned Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which is scheduled to run from October 1, 2026 through March 13, 2027.

M72 originally launched in April 2023 and has already taken Metallica around the world. The band says the tour has played 99 shows across 26 countries so far, with nearly five million fans attending.

The tour's unusual stage setup, which places the band on a circular stage in the middle of the stadium floor, has become one of its defining features. Metallica has also continued to use the tour to support its All Within My Hands foundation, with a portion of proceeds from each ticket going toward local charities.

According to the band, All Within My Hands has provided $19 million in grants through its Metallica Scholars Initiative, along with $8.8 million toward food insecurity programs and $6.2 million for disaster relief and other critical local services.

Tickets for the new shows will first be available through Metallica fan club presales beginning Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale beginning September 22, while Verizon customers enrolled in Verizon Shine will also have access to select U.S. shows during the presale period.

The general ticket sale begins Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. local time.

More information on tickets, enhanced experiences and travel packages is available through Metallica's official M72 World Tour channels.
