The Weeknd Makes History as Highest-Grossing Male Touring Artist With $1.3 Billion Tour
The Weeknd has officially made history, with his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour becoming the highest-grossing tour by a male artist in history after generating more than $1.3 billion in ticket sales.
The global superstar brought the record-breaking four-year tour to a close on November 5 with a final performance at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking the end of an unprecedented run that began in July 2022.
Across 176 shows in 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents, the tour sold more than nine million tickets, placing it among the most successful live music tours ever recorded. Its final year proved particularly lucrative, with more than three million tickets sold and over $500 million generated in 2026 alone.
The tour's success extended well beyond ticket sales, with The Weeknd repeatedly returning to major markets to meet overwhelming demand. Its final Asian leg, which marked the tour's first visit to the region, expanded from an initial 11 dates to 17 sold-out stadium shows, including three nights in Bangkok and four in Hong Kong.
Several markets delivered landmark achievements. In Los Angeles, The Weeknd set a SoFi Stadium record for the most performances and highest gross by a male artist, with seven shows. In Toronto, six performances at Rogers Centre established a new record for the most shows by a male solo artist on a single tour.
His European success was equally significant. In France, he became the first artist to sell out six nights at Paris' Stade de France during a single tour, while drawing more than 500,000 fans across the country in summer 2026. In the UK, seven sold-out stadium performances attracted more than 450,000 fans, with ticket buyers travelling from nearly 150 countries.
Hong Kong also became a major milestone, with The Weeknd setting a new record as the highest-selling international male solo artist in the market after selling nearly 200,000 tickets across four sold-out stadium shows.
The tour's conclusion also comes amid renewed musical momentum in Asia. On October 31, The Weeknd released "Hong Kong", featuring Cantopop icon Faye Wong, following its live debut during the opening night of his Hong Kong stadium run.
The collaboration has already made an impact across China's major streaming platforms. On NetEase Cloud Music, it recorded the biggest first-day debut for a non-Mandarin song in five years across streams, likes, saves, comments and shares. The Weeknd also became the first international artist in five years to top the platform's three major charts on release day.
On QQ Music, the track achieved the biggest debut ever for a Western male artist across several engagement categories, further highlighting his growing reach in the Chinese music market.
Beyond its commercial achievements, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour has also delivered a significant humanitarian contribution. Through the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, The Weeknd has raised $8.5 million to support global hunger relief and access to quality education for children.
Of that amount, $3 million was raised in 2026 for the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen. This year's contributions will also support initiatives aimed at improving health, education and economic opportunities for women and girls worldwide.
From stadium attendance records to billion-dollar ticket sales, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour has established a new benchmark for male artists in live entertainment. Its final performance in Kuala Lumpur closes a four-year global journey that has not only reached millions of fans but also reinforced The Weeknd's position as one of the most commercially successful artists of his generation.
