Linkin Park aren’t just back — they’re on a full-throttle tear through the alt-rock stratosphere. Today, the genre-bending titans unleashed “Unshatter,” a previously unreleased weapon from the vaults of their From Zero sessions. Out now via Warner Records, the track marks the latest in a string of sonically charged reveals ahead of the From Zero (Deluxe Edition) landing on May 16. Listen below.
“Unshatter” wastes no time grabbing you by the collar. A muscular, stomping groove kicks open the door, before Mike Shinoda's tightly coiled flow and razor-sharp cadence pour in over crunching distortion and dense, kinetic production. Then comes the knockout punch: Emily Armstrong’s raw, full-throated howl detonates in the chorus, sending the whole thing airborne. “Emily’s huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together,” Shinoda shared, pointing to the creative chemistry that’s clearly helping to redefine the LP sound for a new era.
It’s only the latest highlight in what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Linkin Park comeback arcs ever. Last month’s single “Up From The Bottom” already has 24 million Spotify streams and 16 million YouTube views, earning love from all corners — from Revolver’s breakdown of its genre-hopping flair to NME’s declaration of it as “ferocious” and “explosive.” That track, and now “Unshatter,” lead the charge into the expanded From Zero universe, which promises three new tracks and a deluxe physical edition boasting five live recordings from their globe-trotting tour.
Speaking of the tour — Linkin Park’s world domination phase is in full swing. The From Zero World Tour kicks off April 26 in the U.S. and will blaze across four continents through November, already notching 15 sellouts including Wembley Stadium and Stade de France. The band’s star power is such that they’re also headlining this year’s UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi® on May 31 in Munich — a moment that feels destined to be iconic.
If From Zero felt like a triumphant return when it dropped in late 2024, it now feels like the start of something even bigger. The album has already scooped Rock Album of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, delivered two #1 radio singles — “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy Is The Crown” — and earned a spot on top of charts in 14 countries. Even more impressive? Linkin Park were the only rock band to cross 2 billion streams in 2024. Yes, billion with a B.
With a revitalized lineup including Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain, Linkin Park have successfully retooled their legacy — not by chasing trends, but by expanding their universe. From Zero (Deluxe Edition) is shaping up to be both a continuation and a rebirth, steeped in the emotional charge, sonic experimentation, and fire-breathing energy that’s made them one of the most important rock bands of the 21st century.
