Seven-time Grammy nominee Tyler Childers is back and pushing boundaries once again. The Kentucky-born singer, songwriter, and genre-shifting performer has announced the release of his hotly anticipated new album, Snipe Hunter, out July 25 via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records. Pre-orders and pre-saves are open now.

Produced by none other than Rick Rubin, with additional production from Childers himself and Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, Snipe Hunter is a thirteen-track collection that sees Childers doubling down on his status as one of country’s most unpredictable—and essential—voices. It’s a bold, finely crafted evolution of the sound that made his 2017 Purgatory a platinum-certified classic.

Among the album’s standout moments is the long-awaited official release of fan favorite “Nose on the Grindstone,” a live staple that’s finally getting the studio treatment fans have begged for. The track is out now, alongside a new live performance video.

The announcement follows the massive success of 2023’s Rustin’ In The Rain, which crashed into the Billboard 200 Top 10 and delivered the runaway hit “In Your Love.” That song alone clocked over 215 million streams and earned two Grammy nominations, a VMA nod, and critical praise from across the music press.

Childers' ascent from Appalachian troubadour to arena-packing force has been anything but conventional. Across five albums, he’s carved a singular lane—steeped in tradition, but unafraid to challenge it. Rolling Stone has called him “one of his generation’s most important voices,” and Snipe Hunter looks set to prove exactly why.

To support the release, Childers and his powerhouse band The Food Stamps will continue their barnstorming “On The Road Tour,” with major stops at Forest Hills Stadium in NYC, Nashville’s GEODIS Park, and London’s O2 Arena.

If Snipe Hunter is anything like its name suggests, expect the unexpected. And with Rick Rubin at the helm, don’t be surprised if Childers once again redefines what country music can be.
