Watch Sabrina Carpenter Stun Hyde Park With Duran Duran Duet During Dazzling BST Headline Show

Sabrina Carpenter brought the curtain down on an unforgettable BST Hyde Park weekend with a second sold-out headline set — and a surprise appearance from synth-pop royalty.
Performing to a 65,000-strong crowd on Sunday night (July 6), the “Espresso” singer delivered a dazzling 18-song set packed with theatrical flair, deep cuts, and chart favourites. But the biggest shock came mid-show when she invited Duran Duran legends Simon Le Bon and John Taylor to join her on stage for a surprise rendition of their 1982 classic “Hungry Like The Wolf” — a duet that sent the park into a full-blown frenzy.
“I thought it might be fun if I brought out some friends of mine from the UK,” Carpenter teased. “Make some noise for the legendary Duran Duran!” The unexpected collab saw Carpenter trading verses with Le Bon, backed by Taylor’s unmistakable basslines — a joyous collision of generations that instantly lit up the BST crowd.
Opening her set in a custom white one-piece bearing her initials, Carpenter set the tone early with fan favourites “Busy Woman”, “Taste”, and “Slim Pickins”, the latter prompting one of the loudest singalongs of the night. “I’ve been dreaming of this day,” she told the crowd, hand on heart. “Thank you for sharing it with me.”
Her newest single “Manchild” landed with thunderous approval, while “Coincidence” and “Feather” brought both vulnerability and swagger. On “Sharpest Tool”, she leaned into the emotional core of her set: “If you know it, I’d love to hear you sing it,” she said softly.
Returning post-duet in a glittery pink number (and atop a circular bed), Carpenter kept the theatrics high with “Bed Chem” and “Please, Please, Please”. The show’s final act saw her quite literally soar above the audience on a crane lift, grinning through “Don’t Smile” as she floated over the crowd.
Before launching into the inevitable closer “Espresso”, she downed a literal espresso shot — “The louder you scream, the more I drink!” — as fireworks lit up the London sky. “Hyde Park, thank you so much,” she said, eyes wide. “This is one of the biggest dreams I’ve ever had come true.”
Meanwhile, Duran Duran have since announced a one-night-only arena show at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on October 26, 2025, hot on the heels of their Hyde Park cameo.
Earlier in the day, Clairo, Olivia Dean, and Amber Mark all delivered genre-spanning sets on the Great Oak Stage, with rising names like Chloe Qisha, Miso Extra, and Tanner Adell drawing early crowds across the Rainbow and Birdcage stages.
BST Hyde Park continues next weekend with Neil Young & the Chrome Dreams Band, Stevie Wonder, and Jeff Lynne’s ELO closing out this summer’s run.
