YUNGBLUD has shared a heartwarming video capturing an intimate backstage moment with metal legend Ozzy Osbourne ahead of Black Sabbath’s monumental farewell show at Villa Park, which took place last weekend.

In the clip, which the Doncaster-born artist posted to social media, YUNGBLUD is seen presenting a custom-made cross to the Prince of Darkness — a powerful tribute to a personal moment they shared years earlier.

“Back in 2022, on the video shoot for ‘The Funeral’, Ozzy gave me his gold cross and said, ‘I hope this brings you luck,’” YUNGBLUD wrote. “I thought, on this monumental moment for him and Sabbath, it was time for me to return the favour and let him know what he and the band mean to me.”

The exchange happened just before Black Sabbath took the stage for their final-ever show at their hometown’s iconic Villa Park stadium — a night that marked the end of an era for heavy metal’s founding fathers.

Fans flooded the comments with praise for the emotional gesture, calling it “the passing of the torch” between two generations of British rock royalty.
