MGK has dropped the unique new visuals for his latest single, “vampire diaries” — a brooding, guitar-fuelled track that reunites the GRAMMY-nominated artist with Blink-182’s Travis Barker on production.

The video, directed by longtime collaborator Sam Cahill, sees MGK tearing his way through an empty museum after hours, dancing across exhibits with choreography by Sean Bankhead — the same creative behind the slick moves in “cliché,” his summer anthem released earlier this year.

This song and video reflect a definite shift in mood compared to his earlier songs. One YouTube comment says: "Kells has gone through every stage of grief in his songs. We are now entering the happy era. I'm not a fan of pop, but I'm a fan of MGK, and I'm here for it."

“vampire diaries” marks the second single from MGK’s upcoming album lost americana, which lands globally on August 8. Fans can pre-order now — and start prepping for MGK Day, his annual three-day hometown blowout in Cleveland, Ohio, packed with music, art, and philanthropy.
