As part of the global celebration for what would have been Elvis Presley’s 90th birthday year, Sony Music has announced a special listening event during Elvis Week 2025, in honor of the upcoming five-disc box set, Sunset Boulevard.

Set to take place on Wednesday, August 13 at The Guest House Theater at Graceland, the event will offer fans an exclusive first listen to the collection, along with a Q&A featuring special guests. Sunset Boulevard spans five discs, offering a rich blend of master recordings, rare outtakes, and intimate rehearsal sessions, giving listeners a look into Presley’s artistry during the early ‘70s — a period of deep emotional expression and artistic evolution.

Disc One: The Masters

The first disc includes classics like Burning Love, Always On My Mind, and Fairytale, showing off Presley’s range as a vocal powerhouse and emotional storyteller.

Disc Two: Outtake Highlights

Disc two takes listeners behind the scenes with studio takes and alternate versions — an unfiltered look at Presley in the creative process. Highlights include Separate Ways – Take 25 and Pieces Of My Life – Takes 2 and 3.

Discs Three to Five: Rehearsals

The remaining discs dive into rehearsal recordings from July 1970 and August 1974, capturing Presley in his element as a live performer. These tracks — from Sweet Caroline to If You Love Me (Let Me Know) — showcase the spontaneity and soul that defined his legendary stage presence.
