London rising star CHINCHILLA has unveiled the official video for her latest single Ok As I Am — a surreal, self-funded visual that dives into the song’s raw themes of heartbreak and self-acceptance. The video, created with acclaimed fashion photographer Kai Cem Narin, is available to watch now on YouTube.

Inspired by a real moment in CHINCHILLA’s life, the video draws on the lyric: “sorry that while you were sleeping in bed, I was laid next to you crying and texting my mum instead.” In the clip, she enters a dreamlike world and finds herself inside the body of her bed — a striking visual metaphor that continues her boundary-pushing approach to storytelling.

Speaking about the project, CHINCHILLA said:

“In an industry and time where labels are reluctant to fund long-form music videos, this feels like a refreshing project of high fashion meets otherworldly emotional madness. The team and crew came together all on low fees and put the art first to create something really beautiful.”

The new release arrives after a whirlwind summer for CHINCHILLA. She opened for Justin Timberlake at three European stadium shows, played three sold-out headline gigs in London, and has just been announced as support for G Flip on their upcoming US tour. Her own European headline run this October — including stops in Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Paris — is already close to selling out.

Best known for bold, uncompromising tracks like Little Girl Gone and Cut You Off, CHINCHILLA has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new voices. With Ok As I Am and its haunting visual, she takes a confessional turn, navigating heartbreak, self-discovery, and ultimately self-compassion.

Raw yet cinematic, fiercely independent yet deeply vulnerable — this latest release underlines why CHINCHILLA continues to be one of pop’s most compelling rising artists.
