Twinnie Says ‘Giddy Up’ to Heartbreak in Her New Video

International country-pop icon Twinnie is taking heartbreak straight to the dancefloor with her latest single, “Giddy Up.” Since its release on August 8, the bold anthem has already surpassed 275,000 streams and exploded on TikTok, where fans are creating dances, skits, and trends inspired by its blend of sass, empowerment, and yeehaw-worthy charm.
The official music video, released today, brings the song’s bold energy to life. Shot against the sweeping desert landscapes of Joshua Tree, California and directed by Joey Schrader (Fool Triumphant Entertainment), the visual fuses vintage western saloon grit with Twinnie’s signature Gypsy-inspired aesthetic. Between horse riding, cowboy hats, and cinematic swagger, the video transforms a breakup into a celebration of confidence and freedom.
“This video is all about taking the reins and strutting into your own power,” Twinnie shares. “It’s daring, it’s unapologetic, and it’s exactly how I feel when I sing ‘Giddy Up.’”
Written by Twinnie alongside Autumn Marie Buysse and Nicole Alexis, the track is equal parts revenge anthem and party starter. With playful, flirtatious lyrics like “Take my hand and spin me / Show all your exes that you’re with me”, “Giddy Up” has quickly become a rallying cry for fans looking to kick heartbreak to the curb — or turn it into a dance trend.
Industry recognition has followed fast. The single was spotlighted on CMA’s “New Music Friday”, YEP’s “New Music Nashville”, Apple Music’s The Ty Bentli Show, and more. It comes on the heels of major milestones for the British-born artist: her U.S. arena debut in Las Vegas, a standout set at Glastonbury, and being named one of Fort Nash’s “Six Women That Deserve to Be Played on Country Radio.” She is also set to appear in a forthcoming BBC documentary alongside country greats Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, and Chris Stapleton.
“Giddy Up” follows a meteoric year for Twinnie. In June 2025, CMT debuted her video for “Back to Jack” on the Paramount+ billboard in Times Square, while her single “Bad Man” charted on U.S. Country Radio. She’s shared stages with Sheryl Crow, Lainey Wilson, and Chase Rice, and recently made history as the first British artist to perform the U.S. National Anthem at GEODIS Park in Nashville.
Beyond the music, Twinnie continues to champion inclusivity and mental health through her nonprofit I Know A Woman, while also making strides as a songwriter (Kylie Minogue, Bryan Adams, The Shires) and actress (Emmerdale).
With her latest release, Twinnie is proving once again that she’s not just breaking boundaries — she’s rewriting the country-pop rulebook.
