Cody Frost Continues Genre-Bending Journey with Latest Release

Burnley-born musician, illustrator, and tattoo artist Cody Frost has unveiled their latest single, “SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING,” a raw and genre-blurring track that continues their reputation for fearless experimentation. Following the punk-hyperpop energy of their previous release, “NATURAL SELECTION,” the new single dives into themes of mental health, emotional numbness, and the fragile hope for recovery.
Cody explains, “This song is about self-medication, being medicated for depression, and my hopes for the future. Sometimes I can’t cry when I know I should, other times I cry when I shouldn’t… It’s me trying to speak control, peace, and resilience into existence—even if I’m not fully there yet.”
Since the release of their debut EP IT’S NOT REAL in 2022, Cody has amassed over 3 million streams and earned critical acclaim from outlets such as BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Billboard. Their collaborations with Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, Debbie Gough, and Bury Tomorrow have cemented them as one of the UK alternative scene’s most compelling rising artists.
Beyond music, Cody works as a tattooist and illustrator within a collective of non-binary creatives, a testament to their multidisciplinary artistry. With its bold sonic textures and unflinching honesty, “SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING” reinforces Cody Frost’s position as one of the UK’s most exciting and authentic voices in alternative music.
