Drake Milligan Releases “Tumbleweed” and Joins Star-Studded C2C Festival Lineup

Drake Milligan has released his brand-new single “Tumbleweed,” a track that’s already striking a chord with fans and critics alike. The song—a tender, rootsy tribute to the people who keep him grounded—blends Milligan’s rich lower vocal range with a modern twist on his classic country sound.
Fans on YouTube have praised the track’s authenticity and Milligan’s deep, textured delivery. One listener commented, “Love this song. Like it when you sing in your lower range… shows off the richness of your voice.” Critics have highlighted its emotional weight and its vivid depiction of life on the road, a theme close to Milligan’s heart after performing more than 300 shows worldwide in the past three years.
The Fort Worth native says he relates to the imagery of a “tumbleweed,” constantly rolling from city to city, yet anchored by the “wind” of those who support him through the whirlwind of touring and fame. Written by Bobby Pinson, Cam Newby, and Ian Christian and produced by Trent Willmon, the song marks the first glimpse of new music from Milligan since his 2024 EP Jukebox Songs.
In another major announcement today, Milligan has been confirmed as a main-stage performer at C2C: Country to Country Festival 2026, joining Brooks & Dunn as direct support in Glasgow, Belfast, Berlin, Rotterdam, and London’s iconic O2 Arena. The star-studded lineup also features Keith Urban, Russell Dickerson, Scotty McCreery, Zach Top, Alana Springsteen, Ashley Cooke, and more. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 26, via c2c-countrytocountry.com.
Fresh off a global headlining tour and stints opening for Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Milligan continues to cement his place among country music’s most exciting young voices.
