Electro-pop powerhouse Lights has kicked off 2026 with a burst of energy, releasing her new single “COME GET YOUR GIRL” alongside the deluxe edition of her 2025 album, A6EXTENDED. The new single is built as a live anthem, with a massive, driving singalong chorus and a message of realizing how deeply you care for someone, especially when it feels almost too late.

Fans were quick to respond online, celebrating both the track and the accompanying music video. One viewer wrote, “2008 kids are CRYING into our hoodies right now,” while another said, “For all the day ones who have been here since The Listening - OUR GIRL !!!!!” The video itself has drawn praise for its clever nods to Lights’ career. A fan noted, “The section from 2:57-3:08 where she’s passing the costumes forward through the eras is GENIUS.” Another commented, “Our Queen in EVERY era. Literally grew up together. What a nostalgia rollercoaster I just went on.”

The music video is filled with throwback imagery, including iconic looks from past eras such as her 2008 combover and the red hair from Skin & Earth in 2017. Lights explained the concept, saying, "Every version hands something forward, because every version of yourself matters in becoming who you are.” The nostalgia-heavy visuals complement the song’s themes of personal growth and reflection.

Musically, “COME GET YOUR GIRL” is uplifting and positive, blending electro-pop with Lights’ signature melodic sensibility. Lyrics like, “I see the world in your eyes and I can’t seem to let go. Hello, open the door, I’m outside. I don’t wanna wait anymore,” convey both urgency and affection while staying true to the expansive, arena-ready energy of the track.

The release coincides with the announcement of Lights’ 2026 tour, which kicks off February 13 in Edmonton. The Come Get Your Girl Tour spans 23 North American dates, including stops in Los Angeles, New York, Montreal, and Ottawa, before heading to the UK and Europe with shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Soft Cult joins Lights as support on the North American leg.

A6EXTENDED expands on her sixth studio album A6, originally released in 2025, with eight new tracks including “COME GET YOUR GIRL,” “LEARNING TO LET GO,” and the synth-driven standout “EDUCATION.” Lights wrote and produced the deluxe album entirely herself, exploring themes of grief, personal growth, love, and sensuality. She describes it as a record inspired by her full range of experiences, saying, “Past lessons, grief and loss, personal growth in a world that wants you to stay the same, the bliss of sensuality, and the recklessness of love. It’s everything you’d write down in a small A6-sized journal because saying it out loud is often somehow harder.”

Fans are already responding to the deluxe album with excitement and nostalgia. One fan said, “What a nostalgia rollercoaster. Absolutely love it!” reflecting the enthusiasm that has accompanied Lights’ career since her early days.

With A6EXTENDED, the new single, and a worldwide tour underway, Lights is showing that her evolution as an artist is both personal and celebratory, connecting deeply with fans old and new alike.
