All Time Low and JoJo Serve Up a Sweet Surprise with “Sugar” from Everyone’s Talking

Pop-punk staples All Time Low have unveiled their latest single, “Sugar” (feat. JoJo) — a shimmering, tightly crafted track that blends the band’s melodic rock energy with a dreamy yet punchy atmosphere. We got an early listen just ahead of their upcoming album, Everyone’s Talking, out October 17, and it’s already shaping up to be a fan favorite.
“Sugar” opens with a steady, dreamy soundscape before crashing into a bold, punchy chorus — the kind of hook All Time Low have made their signature. JoJo makes her entrance after the first chorus, sliding into the pre-chorus with her trademark power and poise. From there, she and frontman Alex Gaskarth join forces through the rest of the track, trading lines and harmonizing in a way that feels effortless and full of chemistry.
“I’m obsessed with the song, I cannot wait for you to hear it,” JoJo said in a clip shared on the band’s Instagram. “It’s a long time coming that we do something together, and I hope you love it as much as I do.”
Gaskarth, 37, praised her as an “incredibly talented female vocalist,” recalling how their paths first crossed years ago: “I used to go and watch this band play at a jazz bar in L.A., and she would sometimes just pop up and do her thing. We got to chatting and loosely stayed in touch ever since. Years later, it came full circle.”
There’s plenty of sonic detail for fans to dig into — from the electric guitar subtly shadowing the vocal melody in the chorus, creating a kind of built-in harmony, to the way the dynamics rise and fall between each verse and chorus. The result is both sleek and satisfying, a reminder that All Time Low still know how to craft a hook that sticks.
The single lands in the midst of a busy season for the band: their recent hit “The Weather” is climbing the Alternative Radio chart at No. 6, and they’ve been popping up for surprise performances at a Jonas Brothers show and even a Savannah Bananas game. Their world tour is now underway, with stops including When We Were Young and Warped Tour.
With over 3.5 million albums sold in the U.S. and more than 5 billion streams worldwide, All Time Low are long past proving their staying power. But “Sugar” shows they’re still evolving — sweet, sharp, and as catchy as ever.
