UK boy band One Direction are celebrating music history by becoming the first UK band ever to debut at a number one position in the album charts in the USA. Their album album 'Up All Night' is their first ever album and its just shot to the Billboard chart pole position.

Beyonce is ready to rock her audience again after the birth of her baby girl Blue Ivy. This week it was announced that Beyonce would be doing a three date residency at Ovation Hall in Atlantic City. The venue is well known for being one of the best places for any artist to perform. As it has over 5,000 seats, all with an unobstructed view of the stage.

His latest offering is most definitely going to be another hit to add to his endless string of hit records. This latest track entitled 'Climax' has been given rave reviews by music critics, as well as fans. A new report has been revealed that Lady Gaga's massive fan base through Twitter earns the star a whopping $30 million a year. A story in The Wall Street Journal named Gaga one of the top earners through social network site Twitter.

Wahwah.fm turns the music you have on your phone into an online radio station. The station is actually broadcasts the music globally through the Internet. You can listen to other users radio stations as well, the good thing about this app is that you can sign in through Facebook. If you don't have a Facebook account you can sign up using your e mail address.

One Direction have been one of very few UK bands to take the US by storm. They are currently on course to bagging a number one US album. They are currently right on the money on the iTunes chart, and it is expected that the album will sell between 160,000 and 180,000 copies of 'Up All Night.' These figures have officially been reported by Music Week.  If they do manage  it, then they will be the first UK band to bag a number one debut album.

Lady Gaga has recently stated that she plans to go on a very long break from the media. The controversial star was recently intrerviewed by Oprah Winfrey, and she stated that after the interview airs she will not talk to anymore press for a long time.  The interview with Oprah is planned to be televised on Sunday March 18.

Turntable.fm has gone legit with licenses from the four major record labels. Turntable.fm is the social music service that allows users to DJ for each other in virtual rooms. At the SXSW Interactive Festival, it was announced that everything was official now. The founders of Turntable.fm Billy Chasen and Seth Goldstein made the announcemnt that they now had licenses from all four major record labels, and that they were officially legit. The announcement was made whilst taking part in roundtable event called "Turntable FM: The Future of Music is Social."

Rapper and multiple personality Nicki Minaj says she has plans to dethrone Jay-Z and become the most successful artist and entertainment mogul. She recently stated that she has always looked at the whole music thing as a business. She said she has always planned on turning the whole thing into an empire.  She was recently Interviewed by Allure and stated that she never just had plans to do music alone.

Chris Brown has recently been dubbed this generations "Michael Jackson." He also recently won two Grammy awards for his highly successful album F.A.M.E.  His next single to be released will be the thumping club tune "Turn up the Music" which critics are already sayingi s definetly going to be a hit for the young star.  Whether or not he will have the same level of success as the late Michael Jackson is yet to be seen. The video already oozes Jacko inspired moves and is ready made for the club scene.

Drake and Rihanna have filmed a visual taster of the video for their new single 'Take Care.' The single will be released sometime this year however, it has already a hit with fans in 2011.  They will go ahead and release the single officially in the up and coming months.

Nicki Minaj is one of the latest brood of schizophrenic popstars, she has an eclectic, multiple personality style. This is the very thing that has rewarded her with such great success. The latest single to come of her brand new album Roman Reloaded is going to be 'Starships.' The album is named after her alter ego "Roman."  She released the hip hop number 'Stupid Hoe' and now she will be releasing the pop tinged 'Starship.'

The Arctic Monkeys have announced plans to unveil a brand new single next month. The band are set to include 'Electricity' as the B-side on a special single release of their most recent single 'R U Mine?' The single was released this month, but this new release will be a special edition with the inclusion of 'Electricity.'

Stooshe are undoubtedly one of the UK's most talked about girl groups at the moment. The group, who insist they are not a girl group but a "collective" have recently announced the title of their new single. It is apparantly going to be called 'Grunter Lane.'

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) pulled in over 3 million viewers this weekend when the talk show host interviewed Bobbi Kristina Brown; the 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston. This is said to be the biggest audience of viewers since the network launched 14 months ago.
