Matt Cardle Wins the X Factor 2010

It has been a contest of controversy and gossip but finally at the end of it all we have a winner. Matt Cardle went head to head with Rebecca Fergurson and came out triumphant. The final which ran for three shows, saw the Essex based singer come out on top.

The bookies favourite and the public’s, performed a duet with Rhianna, as well as performing other songs for the public vote. This season of the X – Factor has been dogged by in fighting among contestants and judges, as well as allegations of fixing. At one point, judge Simon Cowell had to make a statement in a national newspaper as to why last minute format changes had occurred, such was the outrage at some of the events.

Matt Cardle however, has been the favourite more or less from day one, and always turned out consistent performances. The singer gained plaudits from the judges for his vocal range.

There was never a danger of Matt Cardle “falling out” with the public, even when the singer made a few outbursts against fellow contestants. He became a darling with the X – Factor audience from day one.

Matt Cardle’s new single is available for download from midnight tonight, and is released in CD format tomorrow.
